Truely 100, 200, 300, 400, 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1000 W, which is a must if you use a power station and much better than pulsed 800W found on virtually all other products. Yes, no 500W. On the 1200W boost mode, it switches between 1200 and 800W, boiling water in no time. It looks even thinner in person, very nice.

I can say this review is literally the expression mixed feelings. I loved and hated this magnetic induction cooktop. Loved that it is extremely thin (it's thinner than a pack of cigarettes) and the fans are reasonably silent. The controls are very responsive to touch, the overal design is great and the feet keep the cooktop very safe in place. All that would be enough for me to give it 5 stars. But it has ONE drawback. Its only 1200w, while nearly all competitors can reach 1600 watts and some can even reach 1800w. Said that, heating water for pasta, which magnetic induction cooktops are famous for duing super quickly, takes FOREVER, almost like a vintage radiant hot plate. For prepararions that don't require full power (or high "flame"), this cooktop is excellent.

This is my first time using an induction cook top and so far I'm impressed. I am a chef and I love my gas stove, but I know that it is not the best for the environment. I also don't have enough of the right kind of burners on my gas stove and have needed a way to expand my cooking when I'm entertaining at home. What I like about this little unit is that it is easy to store. This was my chance to test out induction cooking. What I like is the ease of storage and the ease of setting this up and using it. The surface cleans up easily which is a great plus. This is great for saute, for warming up soup, and for making sauces. I love that when I change the settings it is similar, and maybe better, then my gas stove (full disclosure, we are in a rural areas so we actually cook with propane which is different then gas). This for me is almost the perfect fifth burner. I say almost because I can't precisely control the temperature and I have seen other models (more expensive) that allow that. I
